Why Your Support Matters
Nigeria continues to face significant maternal and newborn health challenges — too many mothers and newborns lose their lives to causes that skilled care can prevent.
Skilled midwives save lives. A trained, present midwife at the point of delivery is one of the most effective interventions for safe motherhood and newborn survival.
The Midwives Mobilization & Redeployment Scheme (MMRS) deploys qualified midwives to Primary Health Care facilities in underserved communities across Nigeria's 36 states and FCT.
Public support helps strengthen programme implementation and long-term sustainability — extending the reach of skilled maternal and newborn care to more communities, for longer.
