About the NMCN Digital Hub
The Nursing & Midwifery Digital Hub Nigeria is a national platform established to strengthen Nigeria's healthcare workforce through strategic workforce development, professional capacity building, and innovative health programmes.
We serve as the digital nexus connecting nurses and midwives across Nigeria's 36 states with professional development opportunities, national health initiatives, and a community of practice dedicated to improving healthcare outcomes for all Nigerians.
Established through a partnership between the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN), the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the European Union, the Digital Hub represents a new era in healthcare workforce management and development.

2020
Digital Hub Concept Development
Initial concept development and stakeholder consultations for establishing a national digital platform for nursing and midwifery workforce management.
2021
Partnership Agreement Signed
Memorandum of Understanding signed between NMCN, NPHCDA, UNDP, and the European Union to establish the Nursing & Midwifery Digital Hub.
2022
NJFP Pilot Cohort Launched
Pilot launch of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellowship Programme with 500 fellows deployed across 12 states.
2023
MMRS Programme Initiated
Midwives Mobilization & Redeployment Scheme (MMRS) launched to address maternal mortality in high-burden communities.
2024
National Expansion
Programmes expanded to cover all 36 states, with over 4,000 fellows and midwives deployed nationwide.
2025
Digital Platform Launch
Full launch of the NMCN Digital Hub platform with integrated workforce management, e-learning, and resource centre.
